Who is the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Metroplex?
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Metroplex is a collaborative effort between Arlington, Collin County, Dallas County, Denton and Ft. Worth Boys & Girls Club organizations. This partnership was developed to create a stronger presence throughout the Metroplex while showing a unified front in support of our mission and dedication to the development of youth.
Did you know?
- Today over 4,000 youth will enter through the doors at one of the 39 clubs sites in the Metroplex
- Each year over 40,000 youth participate in life-enhancing programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Metroplex
- 58% of our club members are characterized as economically disadvantaged. We reach out to the kids who cannot afford, or may not lack access, to other community programs.
- Dues are low, averaging $5 to $20 per year
- 60% of Alumni said the club was the only place to go in their neighborhood after school
- Over 50% of our club members come to the club 3 or more times per week, spending on average 13 hours per week
- 90% of the youth are promoted to the next grade level
- 90% of alumni graduate from High School
